PROJECT

While the Kingdom of Bahrain has enjoyed economic prosperity since the 1930s and an important population growth to cope with the demand for labor, economic and demographic challenges are expected in the near future. To embrace the changes and anticipate the upcoming development of the territory, the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its willingness to work with France on territorial and urban planning issues, thus giving birth to an institutional and strategic partnership between the 2 countries – the Bahrain French Town Planning Initiative (BFTPI).
